6, 2002: DEATH METAL NIGHT featuring
Chains of Flesh, Murder Intentions,
Blood Churn,
and
Dead for 10 Weeks
$3.00
at the door, show starts at 6pm
We
have a treat in store for you! On Saturday,
April 6th, there will be 4 death metal bands
playing on our stage in the back of the store.
The first band you have all grown to know and
love is Meridian's own Chains of Flesh.
We have 3 other bands that will be coming from
as far away as the MS gulf coast. You must not
miss out on experiencing Murder Intentions,
Blood Churn, and Dead for 10 Weeks.
These band will be giving 100% for you on stage
to satisfy your darkest desires. This show will
start at 6pm to allow each band a full set of
music to express themselves. T-shirts, CDs and
stickers will be on sale by each band to help
support their cause. The admission price
will be an amazingly low $3.00 per person. All
proceeds will go directly to the bands to help
them defray the cost of coming to Meridian,
mark your calendars now and make plans to be
here!

May 18,
2002: Dead Boy and the Elephant Man
(featuring
former members of Acid Bath)
Tickets are on sale now for $3.00 in advance and $5.00
the day of the show. Stop by the Meridian Underground
to reserve your tickets now.
Hold
your breath as your soul transcend all it is
you think you know. Like a dagger in the heart
of humanity, Deadboy
and the Elephantmen are here. Playing
their own style of eerie melodic anguish and
heartache. A sound that cannot be explained
but only heard. Hailing from Houma, Louisiana,
this will be the first time Deadboy has performed
in Meridian. Their debut CD, "If this is
hell, Then I'm Lucky," featuring the artwork
of local artist Jason
Cooper, will be for sale at the show.
So stop complaining that there's nothing to
do in Meridian and experience the band that
all your friends have told you about.

June
22, 2002: Punk Rock Night
Free
Show starting at 6:00 PM
featuring...
Manalive
and Victims of the Modern Age
Manalive
is a three-piece energetic hardcore/punk
outfit hails from Denver, Co and is
not afraid to experiment musically
- their first full-length release
on Universal Warning Records entitled
"Heart, Hands and Mind"
is a perfect example of that. From
raging up-tempo punk, to semi-ska,
to hardcore dashed with waves of melody
- Manalive continues to push the envelope
in the underground. If you like a
sustaining and powerful development
with an abrupt, yet complementary
resolution, then look no further.
Manalive is here. They will be stopping
at the Meridian Underground in the
midst of their US tour for a show
with Victim of Modern Age on June
22nd so check em out...
Victim
of Modern Age is
the newest edition to the Universal
Warning Records family. Hailing from
Lake Charles, Louisiana, this four-piece
emo-rock/punk rock group has alot
to prove. Since December of 2000,
VOMA has been kickin' out powerfully
melodic jams and playing a polished
combination of strait up rock'n'roll
and futuristic progressive indie rock.
A tour in March of 2002 took them
through nc, sc, ga, fl, al, ms, and
tx. They will be touring again in
July in support of their first release
on Universal Warning Records. Bobby
Nixon (singer/guitarist) says that
VOMA hopes to spread their music nationwide,
and that being on tour is what they
enjoy most.
